The Bible says that we should train a child in the way they should go and they won’t depart from it.  At Nations Kids we believe very strongly in equipping children with the tools they need for Christian life. We want to help each child to succeed and be the very best that they can be in a safe, secure and welcoming environment.

Living in New Zealand is a real privilege. Each one of us has the opportunity to make a difference and to be planet changers.  Each one of our children has a real opportunity to achieve excellence by using their God given talents, and at Nations Kids we want to encourage and support them to realize their dreams and full potential for life.  These awesome children will be the future plumbers, bakers, pastors, doctors, lawyers, missionaries, politicians, and diplomats.  We take our responsibility seriously and we want to do as much as we can to help them achieve their goals and to walk in the path that God has appointed for them.

On Sunday mornings we run a program for all children through to the end of year 6.

Babies Room – a special cosy environment where the under twos and their parents or caregivers are looked after while being able to see and hear what is going on in the service.

As our babies' become toddlers and wobblers we take time to start to teach them the stories from the Bible using Montessori style story boxes, music and basic craft activities which also help to develop their fine motor skills. The aim is to use repetition, fun and play as well as our activities to help them start to grasp the truths of the Bible.

Nations Kids Juniors is for our awesome pre-schoolers. They spend time worshiping God and just like at school they learn the ABCs of the Bible. They also learn about how much God loves and cares for them through stories, drama, craft, games, music, play, cooking, gardening, water play, play dough, painting, bubbles and lots more!

We want our children to have lots and lots of fun, while learning.

Nations Kids Primary Days is for children who are in years 0 to 6. We run a Bible centred program, focusing on the tools that we all need for our everyday Christian lives, from reading the Bible, to talking to God, and being committed to God’s house.  We also want to encourage the children to find out about the men and women of the Bible and some of the amazing events of the Bible.

We have an up to date approach to teaching, using multimedia, funky games, activities and quizzes, as well as the all-important Connect Group Times when the children un pack the week’s message with discussions, worksheets and other activities, discussing the implications of what they have been learning to their own lives for both now and in the future.

The children are encouraged to enter into worship and have the opportunity to join the Nations Kids Worship Team.

In 2011 we are going to focus on learning about the importance of prayer, reading the Bible and being committed to God’s house. We are also going to be examining the Old Testament times in a mini-series called “Pyramid Rocks” and looking at the early church in our mini series called “Rocky’s Place” (based on a local fish and chip shop).  It’s going to be a fun packed awesome year!
